How to make Box of Life: Classroom

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!
I created this craft a few weeks ago. With this kind of craft, you can make it with any theme that you like but today, Red Craft is going to show you how to make basic Box of Life with the first theme that is CLASSROOM!

What you need:
Basic Box of Life
1) A black, A4 paper
2) A piece of blue-coloured paper ( or any other colour)
3) Glue
4) A pair of scissors / Paper cutter
5) Pencil
6) Ruler
7) Eraser

Decoration for the classroom
I drew a set of table and chair using Paint in my computer. I copied the picture and pasted it in Microsoft Word. Then, I printed it.


Steps in making Box of Life: Classroom :



1) Take your A4, black-coloured paper and measure 12x23 cm rectangle on the paper.
Cut the paper.





2) Fold the paper so that it looks like a box as shown. You can choose your own length and width of the box. Crease well.



3) Open up the box and lay it flat. Take your ruler and measure 6cm height as shown.



4)Fold the box again and draw a vertical line that divides the area above the line made earlier equally.



5) Draw two lines that meet each other at the vertical line. Now, it looks like a triangle. We are actually making the roof of the class.



6) Open up the box. Cut the paper according to the lines made. (cut the white line)



7) Now, we get something that looks like this. Erase the lines that you have made earlier. Draw a small rectangle under the triangle (roof).



8) Cut the rectangle drawn.



9) Apply some glue at end of the paper and fold it into a box again. Press the glued area firmly.



Now you get a box with a roof!



10) Use your coloured paper to decorate your classroom.



11) Now, take your ruler and measure the length of X as shown.



12) Add 2cm to the length measured. Let the new length be Ycm. Take your remaining black-coloured paper and measure Yx10cm. Cut the paper. Notice that 1cm length at the right and left edges of the paper are folded. You'll get two flaps at the edge of the paper.



Notice that the paper can be placed in the box nicely.




13) Cut the black paper into 1.5cm strips.



14) Now, you can use these strips as the lanes in the box. I cut the pictures of the tables and chairs and pasted them on the strips. You can draw your own tables and chairs using Paint or you can just draw them by hand. You'll get something like this!



15) As my box was quite small, I used three strips only. You can use more if you want. Apply some glue at both of the flaps and place them in the box. I placed the strips in an acsending pattern.







There you have it, a classroom!




Useful tips:
1) You can use your own creativity to make nicer chairs and tables.
2) You might also want to add other items to your classroom such as blackboard, cupboard or even a door.

How to make a pair of shoes?

Assalamualaikum and hello readers!
For this post, Red Craft is going to show how to make a pair of shoes using a cardboard and other simple materials. You can make any size that you want which can be determined on how big do you cut the cardboard. (you can even make a pair of shoes of your own size). I'm using an old, paper box which is quite thick but make sure that you use something that can be cut easily by a pair of scissors. To decorate your shoes, you are free to choose anything!

What you need:
1) A piece of cardboard/ old, thick box
2) A piece of black-coloured paper (or any colour that you want)
3) A piece of gift wrapper
4) A pair of scissors
5) Glue
6) Strong adhesive/ Cellophane tape
7) Pencil
8) Ruler

Steps in making a pair of shoes



1) Draw the shape of a shoe on your piece of cardboard.



2) Cut the cardboard according to your drawing and make another one which has exactly the same shape as the first one.(you can do this by placing the first one on the cardboard)





Now you have something that looks like this.



3) Take your gift wrapper and draw exactly the same size of shoes on it using your pencil. Cut them out.



4) Apply some glue on the gift wrappers and paste them on both of your cardboard.



5) Now, take the remaining piece of your cardboard and measure 0.5cm using a ruler. We are now making the straps of the shoes. You can do as many straps as you want.



6) Cut the cardboard and there you have, the straps for the shoes!



7) Take a piece of black-coloured paper and measure 0.5cm using a ruler. Cut the paper according to the lines you have made.



8) We are now going to stick the black paper on the straps of cardboard. You have to press and bent it a little bit, just to make it easier to be handled.



9) Apply some strong adhesive or use Cellophane tape to stick the straps of cardboard at the back the shoes. Now, you can create your own design of shoes by varying the position of the straps of the shoes.



Flip it over and you will get something that looks like this.



10) Take your black-coloured paper and draw exactly the same size of the shoes you have made earlier. We're now making the soles of the shoes. Cut them out.





11) Apply some glue on the soles and paste them at the back of your shoes.



There you go, a pair of shoes!




Useful tips:
1) You might also love to use colourful papers, beads, lace, ribbons and others to decorate the straps of your shoes.

How to make a greeting card?

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
Red Craft is going to show you how to make a very simple greeting card, which is suitable for any occasion!
To make a greeting card, you are free to choose any size of the card you want to make by adjusting the length and height of the papers you are going to use.
This greeting card is suitable to be made for birthdays, new years, wedding anniversary, as a get well soon card, etc.
Now let's begin!

What you need:
1) A white, A4 paper
2) A designated A4 paper( which is suitable in making a card)
3) A black-coloured paper
4) Ruler
5) Pencil
6) A pair of scissors / Paper cutter

For the design, you need:
1) ***Coloured markers / Magic ink pens / water colour / Colour pencils
2) ***Coloured papers (any colour according to your drawing)
3) Glue

***These materials are optional. You can choose anything to decorate your card.

Steps in making a greeting card:



1) Measure your designated paper according to the measurement shown below.



2) Cut the paper according to the solid line. The dashed line is where you need to fold the paper into half.



3) Now , fold the paper according to the dashed line.



4) Put the paper that you've cut aside. Now, do the same for the white, A4 paper.
( the same measurement as the first paper)



5) You'll get something that looks like this. Notice that when the white paper is inserted in the designated paper, they fit each other nicely.



6) Now, take the designated paper and draw a 6x5 cm rectangle on the front page.



7) Open up the fold, lay the paper flat and cut the lines that are marked with red.



8) Open the left and right flaps and crease well.





9) Notice that we get a card with a window!

10) Take your black-coloured paper and cut a long strip for about less than 0.5cm width. These strips are for the window's borders.



11) Paste them around the window as shown below.



12) Now, cut a smaller width of black strip and paste two short strips at the edge of the flaps.



13) Put the paper aside. Sketch a rectangle on the white, A4 paper with the same measurement as the window that you have made earlier . You can draw and decorate your card in the rectangle.



14) Apply some glue around your drawing excluding the rectangle that you have sketched. (outside the green lines)



15) Stick it inside the designated paper. (behind the window)



16) You can see that you have a card with 4 blank pages.



17) There you go, a greeting card with a window! Now you can write your greetings on the card!




Useful tips:
1) You can also use beads, ribbons and others to decorate your window.
